Rice is available at regular grocery stores, Asian grocers and health stores. Many Asian grocers stock a variety of brands of rice with interesting sizes, colors and textures of grains.

The images on this page are a dish of white Basmathi Rice and a dish of brown Basmathi rice. Half to one teaspoon of turmeric is all that is needed to color the rice. Turmeric has many health properties including possibly preventing Alzheimer's Disease.

Studies have shown that just ½ teaspoon of cinnamon a day will help to lower LDL cholesterol. It also has blood clotting properties. Check this site for more information on the, Benefits of Cinnamon.
